the question "what do you call it?"
ie taxonomy in [[biology]]
most language, arguably every [[lexico|word]],
is *perspective*-dependent / [[qualia|subjective]] / [[metaphor]]ical:
as we [[language acquisition|learn]] a new [[symbol]] (ie [[lexico|word]]):
we are [[represent]]ation learning the human *perspective* associated to that symbol.
seems obvious yet also pretty [[linguistic relativity]] / [[postmodern]] take
makes point-and-name an implausible source of [[word acquisition]].
how to tell *what* exactly is being denoted by the pointing?
eg could refer to the same event as running / fleeing / moving / surviving;
the same object as a car / toy / Volkswagen;
or even broader use of [[metonymy]] / [[metonymy|synecdoche]] / [[metaphor]] / [[poetry|figurative]] language
or even any applicable [[predicate]] to the object
(actions, properties, etc)
